Hamilton Beach FlexBrew 49925 or Mix & Match 49926?

The Hamilton Beach FlexBrew 49925 and FlexBrew Mix & Match 49926 both handle compatible pods and ground coffee and offer hot or iced coffee, but their serving layouts are fundamentally different. The 49925 brews a single cup through one chamber. The 49926 has two separate single-serve chambers so two people can make their drinks in one session—or one person can combine two portions into a larger mug.

One compact cup or two distinct routes?

The 49925 is the counter-space choice: Hamilton Beach lists it at 5.5 inches wide, with a 45-ounce removable reservoir. Its manual documents hot selections of 8, 10, 12, and 14 ounces and iced selections of 10, 12, and 14 ounces with matching ice amounts. It also offers Regular and Bold hot coffee. The practical restriction is that it runs one cup at a time; it does not make a pot or serve two independent cups in the same cycle.

The 49926’s 7.8-inch width buys two brewing sides, two pod holders, two grounds baskets, and separately selected sizes and strength. Its 60-ounce tank serves both sides. Each side can make a 6–14-ounce single cup; both can run in one session, or their outputs can be combined into a 14–28-ounce tall travel mug. The manual says the stream switches from one side to the other while both are brewing. That design is useful when two people want different coffee at once, or when a user wants to blend two pods or two kinds of grounds. It is still a single-serve appliance rather than a carafe brewer.

Compare the iced claim carefully

Both models document coffee brewed over ice, not a cold-water steep. For the 49925, the manual gives a relatively explicit iced menu and specifies how much ice to add for each chosen size. The 49926 instead instructs users to add ice equal to about one-half to three-quarters of the selected iced serving. Its two sides do not brew hot and iced coffee simultaneously; the 49926 manual specifically says the styles cannot be brewed together. If the point of buying two chambers is that one drink must be hot while the other is iced in the same cycle, neither the product headline nor the word “dual” is enough to establish that use. Confirm the routine in the exact guide.

Ownership trade-offs

Expect the larger brewer to take more counter width and to leave more accessories to rinse. The 49926’s two holders and two grounds baskets make format changes convenient, but grounds still need loading and baskets need cleaning after use. Its maker’s guide permits top-rack washing but not a dishwasher sanitize cycle and recommends periodic vinegar cleaning. The 49925 is narrower and has a smaller tank but is simpler when only one individual serving is needed. Both lack a batch carafe and a documented grounds Cold Brew mode.

Which one fits?

Choose 49925 for one-at-a-time cups, a smaller footprint, and a clearly specified iced-size routine. Choose 49926 when two different single-cup routes in one session, mixed pod-and-grounds brewing, or a larger shared travel mug has practical value. If the household needs a pot to sit ready between pours, compare carafe models instead. If you want true cold brew, seek a documented cold-water steep program. Hamilton Beach marked 49926 “Coming Soon” on its U.S. listing when checked October 23, 2026, so verify availability and the exact 49926 identity before ordering.
