A useful fit for

Best of this three-model family when you want grounds coffee from one cup through a glass carafe plus an independently documented hot-water outlet and temperature selection for tea.

The main tradeoff

The extra water function is model-specific, not a family-wide assumption. The single-cup route remains grounds-based, the carafe is glass on a warming plate, and the cold-brew method is a variable-time machine cycle rather than an overnight steep.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is the exact KF9370SI a fit for a grounds-based small or full-carafe routine with Cold Brew?

Braun’s exact page lists the seven dial sizes; the shared type instructions document ground Cold Brew using a No. 4 paper filter.

Can KF9370SI satisfy a separate hot-water need?

Yes. Braun’s exact KF9370SI page explicitly states a separate water dispenser for hot water; the matching instructions show the Water control, Hot Water lever position and six selectable temperature presets on equipped models.

Does the hot-water feature mean the KF9370SI accepts coffee pods?

No. Its page describes a pod-free single-cup route; hot-water dispensing is separate from the grounds coffee basket and does not create a pod input.

The Braun MultiServe Plus KF9370SI is a grounds brewer that can make a single cup or fill a glass carafe, with one unusually useful extra: a separately described hot-water dispenser. That distinction matters more than the machine’s broad “single to multi-serve” language. Its single-cup route is pod-free, so it is for someone willing to scoop grounds rather than keep K-Cups on hand. The exact U.S. page and Braun’s model-linked instructions support the brew functions below; they do not establish our own taste or timing test.

One dial, several amounts—not a pod system

Braun says the MultiServe Dial selects seven brew sizes, from a single cup to a ten-cup carafe. The listed single-serving end is grounds-based, not a separate pod adapter or capsule format. If you want a machine that takes coffee pods, filter the KF9370 out rather than treating the small setting as pod compatibility. The ten-cup rating is Braun’s maker-cup measure; the materials reviewed do not convert it to ten large mugs or specify a fluid-ounce size for each dial position.

The exact page describes ExactBrew as adjusting water flow, temperature and speed for the selected brew preference, and BrewChoice Plus offers Gold, Bold, Over Ice and Cold Brew choices. Gold is the SCA Golden Cup–certified route Braun advertises. That is a maker-reported certification, not a promise that every roast or personal recipe will taste ideal. Bold is a selectable stronger brew, not a grinder or espresso function.

Cold Brew and Over Ice are different jobs

The family instructions separate a Cold Brew cycle from Over Ice. Cold Brew uses cold water and grounds, requires a cone-style No. 4 paper filter, and takes a variable amount of time; the manual says not to use the included gold-tone permanent filter for that cycle. Braun’s product page says a carafe of cold brew takes “just minutes,” but gives no exact U.S.-page time, and that remains a manufacturer claim rather than a timed result. The manual suggests adding ice after brewing; it does not turn this into a refrigerated overnight steep.

Over Ice is a hot-brew mode intended for ice in the serving vessel. The instructions show selecting a cup or carafe size and placing a cup or carafe with ice below the basket. It is not proof of iced pod brewing, since this model is a grounds route, and it is not interchangeable with the dedicated Cold Brew cycle. If you need pod-based iced coffee or a cold brew that is steeped in a pitcher, choose a system that names that method for your preferred input.

Why the 9370 makes sense when tea is in the routine

The KF9370SI product page explicitly calls out a separate water dispenser for hot water. Braun’s instructions show a “Hot Water” lever position, a Water button, and six selectable temperature presets on models equipped with that function. This is the important contrast with the similarly named KF9270SI and KF9250BK: their exact pages describe MultiServe brewing but do not confirm the separate hot-water route. The shared manual marks it as model-dependent, so an undocumented sibling should not be assumed to have it.

That second job is useful for tea or other hot-water uses, but it is not a steam wand, milk frother, or espresso function. The manual’s hot-water routine requires moving the lever to that position, choosing a temperature and amount, then returning the lever to Drip Stop. Check the space where you will set a cup as well as the machine footprint; a dispenser is practical only if its clearance and placement work for your counter.

Carafe warmth, filters and maintenance

The manual shows a glass carafe and a Keep Warm plate. It says the plate is automatically activated only for half- and full-carafe selections, so do not expect a tiny single-cup setting to stay heated on that base. The control panel described in the instructions switches Keep Warm on or off; it does not document adjustable Low/Medium/High plate temperature. If coffee routinely sits for hours, a thermal-carafe brewer may suit you better.

The exact item page lists a gold-tone filter and charcoal filter in the box. The manual also permits a No. 4 paper filter as an alternative for ordinary brewing, and warns not to use two filters at once. Cold Brew is the exception where the paper filter is required. Braun’s instructions describe the Clean indicator and descaling process; the frequency depends on water hardness, serving size and use. That recurring cleaning is part of the trade: several brew formats come from one appliance, but it still needs regular filter-basket and water-path care.

Who should choose it?

Choose the KF9370SI if your household uses grounds for both small cups and shared pots, wants explicit Cold Brew and Over Ice modes, and will actually use the separate hot-water route. It is a stronger fit than the otherwise similar KF9270SI or KF9250BK when hot water is an essential need, because the exact KF9370 page expressly documents it. For a simple grounds carafe with a hot plate, the KF9270SI or black KF9250BK may cover the routine without paying for a water function you do not need, though the pages do not establish a functional difference between those two.

Look elsewhere if pods are non-negotiable, you want a thermal pot, you need an adjustable warming temperature, or you expect an overnight steep. A dedicated pod brewer will be simpler for pod-only cups; a thermal-carafe model avoids leaving coffee on a hot plate; and a manual cold-brew pitcher is a better fit when steeping time is acceptable. Confirm the exact KF9370SI code before ordering so that the separate water dispenser—not merely the MultiServe family name—is part of the model you receive.
