Model comparison

Ninja Luxe Café Mini, Premier, Pro or Cuisinart Barista Bar?

The Ninja Luxe Café Mini Plus ES351, Premier ES601BK and Pro ES701 all combine whole-bean grinding with a portafilter routine, but their extra drink paths are different. The Cuisinart Barista Bar SS-4N1NAS is a different kind of hybrid: it trades an integrated grinder for a glass batch pot, pod convenience and capsule compatibility. Start with the form of coffee you need most often, not the longest feature list.

Mini Plus ES351: compact guided espresso and drip coffee

The ES351 has a 60-setting conical burr grinder, guided grind recommendations, weight-based dosing and an assisted tamper. Its page lists espresso and individual Classic, Rich and Over Ice drip coffee, plus three hands-free AutoFroth presets: steamed, thin and thick. It is the compact bean-to-cup station in this comparison, but the machine still asks you to work with a portafilter and clean the milk parts. The exact page does not list Cold Brew, cold foam, a batch carafe, pods or separate hot water.

Premier ES601BK: add a named Cold Brew route

The Premier keeps the guided portafilter format but uses 25 grind positions and adds a manufacturer-listed Cold Brew mode alongside espresso and drip coffee. Its coffee menu is cup-by-cup through the portafilter; the exact package does not list a batch carafe or pod adapter. The comparison page lists four hands-free froth presets: steamed, thin, thick and cold foam. The U.S. owner guide also documents manual frothing with the wand and jug. That is useful milk flexibility, but it is still milk handling and cleanup. The Premier does not add a separate hot-water outlet; the product comparison lists that as an ES701 Pro feature instead.

For the Midnight Black machine, ES601BK is the standalone code. Bundle code ES601BKB1 contains the same Premier brewer plus a knock box, 28-ounce shareable pitcher and 16-ounce travel mug. Those items may improve serving and cleanup, but they do not change the coffee modes. Compare the package code if those extras matter rather than assuming every ES601 box includes them.

Pro ES701: add independent hot water and another froth preset

The ES701 Pro adds an independent hot-water route to the espresso, drip and Cold Brew functions, and lists five hands-free milk presets including extra-thick froth. That matters if you need tea water without a coffee brew or a wider froth selection. The Pro remains a cup-by-cup machine, not a shared-pot brewer. Check the exact Pro finish, counter space and package list before choosing; its added functions do not solve a need for pods or a family-sized carafe.

Barista Bar SS-4N1NAS: prioritize a pot and format variety

The Cuisinart Barista Bar gives up the built-in whole-bean grinder in exchange for a 12-cup glass carafe with warming plate plus distinct pod and OriginalLine-style capsule paths. It also includes a manual steam wand. Choose it when shared batch coffee and multiple formats outweigh grinding inside the appliance. This is a more parts-intensive station than a single-format carafe brewer; use its exact manual and review to check adapter, cup and cleanup limits.

Match the routine to one machine

  • Choose ES351 for a smaller espresso-and-drip station with hands-free steamed/thin/thick milk settings, without an essential Cold Brew route.
  • Choose ES601BK for the Premier's Cold Brew mode and four froth presets if you do not need pods, a batch carafe or independent hot water. ES601BKB1 adds listed serving and cleanup accessories.
  • Choose ES701 if the independent hot-water route or the extra-thick froth setting is essential, while accepting cup-by-cup preparation.
  • Choose SS-4N1NAS if the 12-cup glass pot and pod/capsule options matter more than a built-in grinder and cold-brew espresso system.

Do not combine a Pro hot-water feature with a Premier listing or assume a brewer's frothing mechanism is the same as a separate hot-water outlet. When a required feature is not documented on the exact code, treat it as an open question and compare another model whose page and manual establish it.
